If your Portfolio has some KPIs used across multiple companies (for example, you may use the same objectives for ESG) you can save time and effort by creating a KPI template to make this set up easy to re-use across your value creation plans (VCPs).
How to create a KPI template
Build your VCP up with Objectives
Right click on the top level Objective (or Value Driver)
Click "Create KPI Template"
A pop up will show asking you to provide a name.
The description box is optional.
Click OK.
How to add a KPI template to a VCP
Go to the Value Creation Plan for the company.
Click + Add KPI Template
A pop up box will appear showing the KPI Library's Templates tab.
Select one or more templates from the list and click Add.
Note: Value Drivers / Objectives will be added to your VCP.
Actions, Risks and Issues are not included as part of the template.
How to edit a KPI template
From the Value Creation Plan (for any company), click on KPI Library.
In the pop up, go to the Templates tab.
Click on the pencil icon on the right hand side.
Note: this will only allow you to edit the Name/ Description for the template.
How to update a KPI template
Update a VCP with a new version of the template and create a new template.
You can either edit the name / description of the old version, or remove it entirely.
How to remove a KPI template
From the Value Creation Plan (for any company), click on KPI Library.
In the pop up, go to the Templates tab.
Click on the minus icon on the right hand side.
Confirm you wish to delete this template.
Remember this will remove the template for all users, not just a single company.
A confirmation message will briefly appear on the screen and the template will be removed from the list.
